FACE

Signature Soften Face Ceremony – 90 minutes

Deep Tissue Face Massage to Sculpt, Release and Rejuvenate.

It is true that outer beauty reflects the state of our inner world.  This signature ritual fuses Remedial Face Rejuvenation Massage with skin biome-loving botanical alchemy from the healing apothecary of Lepaar Skin products, handmade and sourced from Kangaroo Valley NSW.

Addressing upper body tensions manifesting through the fascial chains, we allow the body to release and rejuvenate – creating a balanced system and in return, a radiant and more symmetrical glow, from inside to out.

Unlike many facial massages, this goes far deeper, supporting and exploring further into postural asymmetry and adhesions in the muscle, fascia and skin.  Healing intra-oral massage on the jaw and attachments is performed with sterile nitrile gloves on and allows for deeper work on the jaw muscles and those connected contributing to facial pain and TMJD.  Deep relaxation also extends through revitalising scalp massage and stimulation of trigger points in the viscerocranium, and through the vagus nerve.

Of the Many benefits, some include:

  • Slowing the aging process naturally through supporting facial harmony and alignment

  • Regulated nervous system through balancing the self and calming sensory inputs.

  • Helps to release fascia tension, psychosomatic blockages and stored/repressed emotions.

  • Stimulates the lymphatic system assisting to eliminate toxins, drainage and detox pathways.

  • Improves blood circulation and oxygenation.

  • Improve the natural ‘breath’ between the cranial bones and tissues by stimulating the movement of cerebrospinal fluid.

  • Alleviates dysfunctions such as teeth clenching, grinding, & potential sinus or ear issues.

  • Increases cell metabolism and nutrition.

  • Eliminate water retention and facial puffiness

  • Naturally contours and sculpts and the face, by relaxing the facial muscles and fascia, softening deep lines and boosting oxygen rich blood to the skin – for plumping and a more vibrant and youthful appearance.

  • Reduces TMJD/jaw pain, headaches/migraines.

  • Assists the restoration of the natural posture of the face.

  • Reduces pathological mimic muscle patterns, aids to reset muscle memory.

  • Creates clearer and more radiant skin through assisting detox pathways.

  • Can assist cases of Bell’s Palsy by increasing muscle strength and activating the nervous system to regain facial coordination.

  • Creates stronger bone and tissue structure through stimulating fibroblast activity using micro-vibrations.

  • A natural alternative to botox and other invasive treatments and injectables.

  • Boosting overall confidence in your own self and unique beauty.

This treatment also includes the ancient art of honey-tapping.  Using Activist 100% Biodynamic Manuka 350+ MGO Honey from New Zealand, this sensory technique lightly stimulates the skin using a rolling, kneading, and patting motion to encourage movement, helping the lymph flow quicker to the nearest lymph node, speeding up detoxification.

Manuka Honey has potent healing properties, is a natural enzyme exfoliator, excellent humectant and hydrator and promotes skin regeneration, calming inflammation and lessens the appearance of scars.

**Please note that the treatment encompasses your upper body to head (including the scalp) therefore, I recommend washing your hair afterwards instead of before our appointment. Also, come without makeup to allow more treatment time.

*Soften Studio Facial massages are safe and do not injure the skin or facial tissues.

  • Intra-Oral massage or commonly known as Buccal massage, is a massage technique performed with sterile gloves, working specifically to target the muscles in the jaw, the masseter, and the temporomandibular joint.  By working inside the mouth we can better target the tension in this area and help release and relax these muscles that contribute to TMJ, bruxism and chronic tension relating to these issues.

Lymphatic Flow – 45 minutes

Express Treatment

An express ritual for those seeking the deep benefits of lymphatic drainage but are short on time.  Did you know that over 1/3 of our bodies lymph nodes exist from the chest up?  In this treatment I work on target areas of the chest, neck and head, guiding the lymph towards the glands for waste removal and detoxification, and a brightened you.  Utilising massage and the SomaCeutical mask; a powerful, detoxifying, blood-oxygenating organic herbal mask, made from earth-based, non-synthetic ingredients.

Designed for deep lymphatic drainage, this restorative treatment is suitable for everyone. Supporting the skin biome with skin loving herbal decoctions and bio-available vitamins and minerals, this SomaCeutical mask creates a micro-environment within the fascia, triggering a pulsating and pumping effect, boosting blood & fluid circulation through the décolletage, neck, & face. POST SESSION CARE

Each treatment and ritual allows for many changes and shifts within the body, including the increase of lymphatic pathways to drain, increased blood circulation and oxygenation of the cells, and this includes blood supply to the brain and heart – as we work closely with the chest, neck and head.

In doing so, this also circulates stored emotions and although you should feel deeply relaxed after a treatment, you could also notice that in the following 24 hours, you may notice feelings surface or emotions asking to be released.

After any type of bodywork, if you can, it is ideal to give yourself time to feel the changes, rest and allow the body to settle into it’s new orientation.

  • drink plenty of water for the next 48 hours, allow the benefits of increased circulation to continue and the body to eliminate any toxins.

Staying hydrated before a treatment also allows the tissues to be easier manipulated as the fascia is better lubricated.

  • If you can find time after your treatment to gently stretch, or go for a conscious short walk, this allows the body to slowly recalibrate and assist the lymphatic circulation further.

  • Taking the time to rest after a massage, if possible, allows time to honour the body and its processes.  Our nervous system after a massage should be in parasympathetic mode, which means we should be feeling deeply relaxed, and avoiding strenuous activity straight after a treatment will allow you to reap the benefits for longer.   Workouts and exercise should be kept to a mild-moderate activity level.

  • Magnesium is such a wonderful essential macro-mineral that helps maintain healthy muscles, fascia, blood, nerves and bones.  Utilising magnesium after a massage in the form of a magnesium salt bath or Epsom salts, can deepen relaxation and assist any possible muscle soreness.

  • It is a timely opportunity, when taking time to honour yourself with bodywork and healing rituals, to spend your time and your energy wisely post session.

Notice your breath, your nervous system, do you feel drawn back into the constant rush of busy life to keep going and maintain productivity?

Do you find yourself numbing out any emotions rising, with scrolling screens and media?

Let yourself just be, and give yourself time to be slow and present in your actions and thoughts.

  • According to your goals, it is a good time to think about what you are working towards, and the results you are after with a treatment schedule. It is important to be realistic about what one massage or treatment can achieve.

Massage has its greatest results over time, and a cumulative effect, which includes at-home exercises and stretching, nutrition and lifestyle factors.

To see the most change and results, regular sessions according to your tension and symptoms are recommended, until you reach your desired maintenance phase. I love sharing with clients about tools and things they can do at home to help them notice small accumulative changes too.
